So, before reading her novels which were released from 1811 to 1817, in the following order :  Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, Mansfield Park, Emma,  Northanger Abbey, Persuasion, I decided to go back to her teenage years, reading Love and Friendships, and other early works.

Book - the Art of Lord of the Rings -60th anniversary edition

My copy of this book is about to be shipped from Germany and I look forward to discover its content as I found absolutely no preview of if whatsoever... Yet, I had pre-ordered it, afraid such an edition would quickly sell out amongst Tolkien fans... The only information I find thus far tells me there are 200 sketches, drawings, paintings, and maps by Tolkien himself, but then the website announces 180 images... and that half of them never been published before...
They should all be in colour and high definition, and obtaines from scans.
The book format is 26.8 x 26.8  x 3.0CM, should totalise 240 pages and weigh... 1.48 kg (not to say just about 1 &half!), a solid art book to celebrate Lord of the Rings's 60th anniversary!

Harper Collins announced it to be available for sale on 21st of September, with a release 8th of October - in just 3 days, but it was also on pre-order on amazon and other websites.
